How to Choose Right Size Table Cloths 1. Measure Your Table Get your table s length and width.
2. Consider Occasion For formal occasions, such as banquet, you need a longer drop. Have about 15 inches or more from the edge of the table to the bottom of the tablecloth.
For casual occasions, such as low-key birthday party, you do not need a long drop. Have about 6 to 8 inches drop.
3. Calculate the Proper Size of Tablecloths Add twice the desired drop to both the length and width of the table. For example, your table is 40-inch wide and 60-inch long, you want a 6-inch drop. You would add 12 both to 40 and 60, to get 52 x 72 inches tablecloth.
