This is all the cleaning that is necessary with ordinary use. To further sanitize occasionally, or as necessary - Boil for 5 minutes - Or run through your dishwasher - Or soak in water and microwave on high Brewing instructions: - boil your filter in fresh water for 10 minutes to pre-shrink before first use, your filter will continue to shrink slightly for the next few uses and will produce best quality from then on. - add your favorite medium to coarsely ground coffee. - bloom to start (wet grounds thoroughly and let them sit for 60 seconds). - fill jar with cold drinking water. - securely close the sock by twisting fabric and then wrapping with anchor ring and string, screw lid on, and let it rest for 12-18 hours. - remove sock from jar. you may then rest the sock on top of jar to drip by inverting the lid ring and resting sock within, while using the lid insert to further secure sock in ring.
