With the iTikes I Explore Map, kids ages three and up can learn about US and world geography, prehistoric times, the solar system, and more. I Explore features six maps with menu icons and illustrations to teach different subjects. The US map teaches state geography and fun facts about all fifty states. The World Cat and World Dog maps introduce a variety of pets from all over the world. The World Music map plays world music and says hello and goodbye in a variety of languages. The Solar System Map teaches the solar system and the order of the planets, while the Prehistoric North America map lets you check out what it was like in North America during the time of the dinosaurs.
When I Explore is in stand-alone mode, you can explore six interactive maps by pointing the smart pen at the maps colorful images. The smart pen prompts interesting facts in friendly voices, along with music and sound effects.
After you learn facts from the map, you can quiz your knowledge on that information. The quiz mode has three difficulty levels and asks questions in an encouraging voice.
The iTikes I Explore Map is fully functional and fun to play with by itself using the smart pen. You can also enhance the I Explore by using it with the downloadable iTikes app. The app brings the maps to life with hundreds of facts, colorful animations, and interactive 3D.
iTikes has implemented clever design features into the I Explore Map. The input jack for the smart pen has a removable plastic cover to prevent damage, and a plastic pen holder keeps the pen in place. Adjustable volume accommodates different play environments.
Maps not in use can be stored inside the body of the I Explore. The handles are ergonomic for easy gripping, and a carrying strap securely attaches to the I Explore for on-the-go play.
There s no need to worry about kids handling your Apple devices, because the iTikes I Explore Map includes protective holders (holders for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4/4S, and iTouch 4 are provided). These holders can be screwed onto the I Explore for stability.
