We have found that the range this bean is happiest roasted is somewhere from Half City to Full City. We prefer just slightly less than Full City roast for a pour over method. Best enjoyed after the cup has cooled from hot to very warm. The flavor profile changes as the coffee cools; you can experiment with that as well. The Kenyan Bean can handle very light roast profiles. If you like a bright acidic coffee, there are few as good as this Kenyan. It s an acquired taste, but delicious if you have the palate for it. Cupping Notes: Flavors will vary somewhat by roast profile, but in general: volcanic, earthy, balanced, and with hints of citrus best describe this deliciously complex and unique coffee.
