The technology of this engine represents a combination of Wilesco types D 20 and D 16, enhanced by a number of technical refinements. The brass boiler, highly polished and nickel plated, has a capacity of 30.5 in. The condensed water is fed to a tank hidden behind the boiler house, causing the chimney to smoke realistically. The engine plate has now been additionally fitted with a dynamo to supply the streetlight at the rear, between the boiler and engine, with current. The streetlight is modeled on an industrial streetlight from the turn of the century and shines on the flywheel during operation.
